Job Title: Tutor – Secondary Students
Location: Boston, Lincolnshire (In-person)
Pay Rate: £20 – £35 per hour (depending on experience)
Contract Type: Part-time | Flexible hours
GSL Education is seeking an experienced and dedicated Tutor to provide in-person tuition to secondary-aged students in Boston, Lincolnshire. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting students outside of the traditional classroom and helping them reach their full academic potential.
This role is ideal for individuals with secondary school experience or those who have previously tutored students at secondary level, particularly in core subjects such as English, Maths, or Science.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver tailored 1:1 or small group tuition sessions
- Support students in improving subject knowledge and exam confidence
- Plan and adapt sessions based on individual learning needs
- Track progress and provide feedback on student development
- Build positive, supportive relationships with learners
- Encourage engagement, motivation, and independent learning
Requirements:
- Experience working in a secondary school or tutoring secondary-aged students
- Strong subject knowledge (core subjects desirable)
- Ability to plan engaging and personalised learning sessions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Must live within travelling distance of Boston, Lincolnshire (this is an in-person role)
- An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
