Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistants
Location: Wakefield (WF4)
Pay rate: £460 - £600 per week (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract type -Day-to-day/ Long-term, Full-time/ Part-time

GSL Education welcomes applications from enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistants to join a supportive school in Wakefield (WF4). This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated TA to support students with additional needs, helping them achieve their full potential in a friendly and inclusive environment.

As a Special Education Needs Teaching Assistant (SEN TA), you will support teachers and students through one-to-one and small group work, promoting positive behaviour and academic and social development. The ideal candidate will be patient, confident, and passionate about helping children of all abilities succeed.

Key Duties:

  • Support students in lessons, both individually and in small groups
  • Assist with learning activities, classroom tasks, and behaviour management
  • Help promote positive behaviour and student engagement
  • Encourage independence, confidence, and social development
  • Support teachers with classroom preparation and supervision
  • Contribute to the wider school environment through enrichment activities where needed

Requirements:

  • Experience working as a Teaching Assistant, SEN TA, or similar role
  • Ability to support students with additional needs, SEN, or learning difficulties
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude
  • An up-to-date CV covering the last ten years (with any gaps explained)
  • An enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service, or willingness to apply
