SEND Teaching Assistant – Spilsby

GSL Education are currently recruiting dedicated SEND Teaching Assistants to support schools in and around Spilsby. This is a flexible supply role, offering opportunities for full-time, part-time and day-to-day work depending on your availability.

This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about supporting children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and who are looking to gain experience across a variety of school settings.

Responsibilities

  • Support students with SEND on a 1:1 basis or in small groups.

  • Assist teachers in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons.

  • Help create a safe, supportive and positive learning environment.

  • Support students with additional learning, social or emotional needs.

  • Encourage independence, confidence and positive behaviour.

Requirements

  • Experience supporting individuals with SEND, either in education, care or community settings (adults or children).

  • Alternatively, relevant qualifications in education, childcare, health & social care or similar.

  • Availability Monday–Friday, with flexibility for supply work.

  • A patient, adaptable and supportive approach.

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
