Job Title: Geography Teacher
Location: Doncaster (DN2, DN6)
Salary: Up to £220 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long Term, Full-time / Part-time
Do you have the passion and knowledge to teach Geography and help students develop a deeper understanding of the world around them?
If so,GSL Education are currently seeking a dedicated Geography Teacher to work across schools in Doncaster (DN2, DN6).
As a Geography Teacher, you will plan and deliver dynamic lessons that develop students’ understanding of physical and human geography, environmental issues, and global development across key stages 3. 4 and 5. You will encourage analytical thinking, map skills, and independent research while supporting students in reaching their full potential.
Responsibilities of a Teacher of Geography:
- Plan and deliver high-quality Geography lessons across relevant key stages 3, 4 and 5
- Teach a broad curriculum including physical, human, and environmental geography
- Prepare students for assessments and examinations
- Differentiate lessons to support students of varying abilities and learning needs
- Maintain strong classroom management and promote positive behaviour
- Assess, monitor, and provide constructive feedback on student progress
- Contribute to curriculum planning and departmental development
Key Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), PGCE, or equivalent teaching qualification
- Degree in Geography or a related subject
- Experience teaching Geography within a secondary school setting
- Strong subject knowledge and classroom management skills
- Excellent communication and organisational abilities
- Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply
