Job Title: History Teacher
Location: Doncaster (DN2, DN6)
Salary: Up to £220 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long Term, Full-time / Part-time
Are you an enthusiastic History Teacher ready to inspire students with engaging lessons of history within a classroom setting?
GSL Education are currently seeking a passionate History Teacher to work in schools across Doncaster (DN2, DN6).
As a Teacher of History, you will plan and deliver engaging and thought-provoking lessons across key stages 3, 4 and 5 that develop students’ understanding of historical events, themes, and perspectives. You will encourage critical thinking, analysis, and debate while supporting students in achieving their full academic potential.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver high-quality History lessons across key stages 3, 4 and 5
- Teach a broad and balanced curriculum including British, European, and world history
- Differentiate lessons to support students of varying abilities and learning needs
- Prepare students for internal assessments and external examinations
- Maintain effective classroom management and promote positive behaviour
- Assess, monitor, and provide constructive feedback on student progress
- Contribute to curriculum planning and departmental development
Requirements to become a History Teacher:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), PGCE, or equivalent teaching qualification
- Degree in History or a related subject
- Experience teaching History within a secondary school setting
- Strong subject knowledge and classroom management skills
- Excellent communication and organisational abilities
- Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply
