Job Title: RE Teacher
Location: Barnsley (S70, S71)
Pay rate: Upto £220 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract type -Day-to-day/ Long-term, Full-time/ Part-time

GSL Education are currently recruiting a dedicated RE Teacher to work in schools across the S70 and S71 areas of Barnsley.

As a Religious Education (RE) Teacher, you will deliver engaging lessons that explore a range of religions, beliefs, and ethical perspectives, helping pupils develop critical thinking and mutual respect.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver RE lessons in line with the curriculum.
  • Promote inclusive discussion and respectful debate.
  • Assess and monitor pupil progress effectively.
  • Create a supportive and positive classroom environment.
  • Contribute to whole-school values and cultural development initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Experience working as an RE Teacher in a school setting.
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and inclusive education.
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply.
