SEND Teaching Assistant (SEND TA)
Location: Bromley
Start Date: Immediate
Contract: Day-to-Day / Long-Term, Part-Time / Full-Time
Pay: £95–£105 per day (depending on experience)
GSL Education are seeking a committed and enthusiastic SEND Teaching Assistant to join a supportive and inclusive school community in Bromley. This role is ideal for someone with strong experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) who is passionate about helping pupils access learning, develop confidence, and achieve their full potential.
You will work alongside teachers, the SENCO, and other support staff to deliver high-quality assistance both in and out of the classroom, ensuring pupils receive the tailored support they need to thrive.
Key Responsibilities of SEND Teaching Assistant:
- Provide 1:1 and small‑group support for pupils with SEND
- Assist in implementing personalised learning plans and interventions
- Support pupils’ emotional, social, and academic development
- Work collaboratively with class teachers, SENCOs, and wider staff
- Create a positive, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment
- Monitor pupil progress and communicate observations to teaching staff
- Uphold school safeguarding procedures and behaviour policies
Requirements for the SEND TA Role:
- Proven experience working with students with SEND
- Recent experience in a UK school setting
- Confidence delivering SEND-focused interventions
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well as part of a team
- Solid understanding of safeguarding and child protection
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
