Job Title: SEMH Learning Support Assistant
Location: Dinnington (S25)
Payrate: £110 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract: Day-to-day / Long-term | Part-time / Full-time

GSL Education are recruiting a dedicated SEMH Learning Support Assistant to work within a specialist provision in Dinnington (S25).
As a Social, Emotional, and Mental Health Learning Support Assistant (SEMH LSA), you will support pupils who require additional guidance to manage behaviour, regulate emotions, and engage positively with learning.
Key Duties of SEMH Learning Support Assistant:
- Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEMH needs.
- Demonstrate strong behaviour management in line with school policies.
- Be willing to implement physical and verbal de-escalation when required – training provided for this.
- Support pupils’ emotional regulation and social development.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, pastoral staff, and external professionals.
Essential Requirements:
- Experience supporting children or young people with SEMH or behavioural needs.
- Confident, calm, and resilient approach.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting positive outcomes.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply for a new one.
