Job Title: Behaviour Intervention Specialist
Location: Dinnington (S25)
Payrate:
£110 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract: Day-to-day / Long-term | Part-time / Full-time

GSL Education are searching for a proactive Behaviour Intervention Specialist to work within a school in Dinnington (S25), providing targeted support to students who require additional behavioural guidance.

As Behaviour Intervention Specialist, you will work closely with pupils, staff, and families to implement effective behaviour strategies, promote emotional regulation, and create a structured environment where learners can succeed.

Prime responsibilities

  • Deliver one-to-one and small group behaviour interventions
  • Develop and implement personalised behaviour support plans
  • Demonstrate strong behaviour management at all times
  • Be willing to implement physical and verbal de-escalation strategies when required (full training provided)
  • Monitor progress and maintain accurate records
  • Promote positive choices, resilience, and engagement with learning

Requirements of Behaviour Intervention Specialist:

  • Experience working with children or young people with behavioural needs
  • Confident in behaviour management and calm under pressure
  • Willingness to undertake training in physical and verbal de-escalation techniques
  • A resilient, patient, and consistent approach
  • Clear understanding of safeguarding and inclusive practice
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for a new one)
