English Teacher – Behavioural Unit

GSL Education are seeking a resilient English Teacher to work full-time within a specialist behavioural unit in Scunthorpe, teaching students aged 16–19 with challenging behaviour and SEMH needs. The role is initially through agency, with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.

The Role:

• Deliver engaging English lessons to post-16 learners

• Support students with SEMH and complex behavioural needs

• Maintain a structured, safe and consistent classroom environment

• Implement strong behaviour management and de-escalation strategies

The Ideal Candidate:

• Holds QTS or a relevant teaching qualification

• Has experience working with challenging behaviour and/or SEMH

• Is confident teaching English at secondary or post-16 level

• Is resilient, calm and committed

• Is available full-time (Monday–Friday)
