SEMH Teaching Assistant – Grantham

GSL Education are currently seeking a dedicated and resilient SEMH Teaching Assistant to work full-time in a supportive school setting in Grantham. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional who is passionate about supporting young people with behavioural needs, SEMH, and SEND.

The Role:

  • Supporting pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs

  • Working with students with a range of SEND, including behavioural challenges

  • Providing 1:1 and small group support

  • Assisting with emotional regulation and positive behaviour strategies

  • Helping to create a safe, structured and nurturing learning environment

  • Working collaboratively with teaching staff and SENCOs

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Have previous experience working with behavioural needs (SEMH & SEND)

  • Be confident managing challenging behaviour in a calm and professional manner

  • Be patient, resilient and consistent in their approach

  • Be available full-time (Monday to Friday)

  • Have a genuine passion for supporting vulnerable learners
