Salary: £460–£600 per week
Contract Type: Full time, long-term / Day-to-day

About the Role:
As a SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and support staff to deliver personalised interventions, support classroom learning, and help students develop social and emotional skills. Responsibilities:
- Implement personalised learning and care plans tailored to the needs of each student, promoting independence and personal growth.
- Create a supportive and inclusive environment that encourages trust and positive relationships with students.
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and external professionals to provide comprehensive support.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress, activities, and interventions.
- Assist with intimate care, hygiene, and eating where required, ensuring dignity and respect.
- Support students in accessing activities, using effective communication and behaviour management strategies.
- Encourage engagement, motivation, and participation in both academic and social activities.

Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a SEMH Teaching Assistant or similar role is preferred.
- Understanding of SEMH needs and evidence-based support strategies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to adapt to the dynamic needs of students.
- A compassionate, patient, and supportive approach to working with children with diverse needs.
