Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Rotherham (S25)
Salary: £460 - £600 per week
Contract Type: Full time, long-term / Day-to-day

About the Role:
As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will provide one-to-one and small group support for students with special educational needs. You will work closely with teachers and other support staff to implement strategies that enhance learning, behaviour, and personal growth. This role provides the opportunity to make a lasting impact on students’ educational and personal development.

Responsibilities:
• Implement personalised learning plans tailored to individual student needs, fostering independence and growth.
• Support students in accessing the curriculum and achieving learning objectives.
• Create a positive, inclusive, and supportive environment that encourages engagement and trust.
• Assist with behaviour management strategies to maintain a safe and structured classroom.
• Collaborate with teachers and multidisciplinary teams to monitor student progress and adapt interventions.
• Provide support with personal care and daily routines when necessary, maintaining dignity and respect.
• Record and report on student progress, behaviours, and activities as required.

Qualifications:
• Previous experience as a SEN Teaching Assistant or similar role is preferred.
• Knowledge of special educational needs and effective support strategies.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to adapt to the individual needs of students.
• A patient, compassionate, and resilient approach to supporting learners.
