Job Title: Cover Supervisor
Location: Sheffield (S5, S9)
Pay rate: £460 - £650 per week (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time
Support continuity of learning and maintain a positive classroom environment in the absence of teaching staff!
GSL Education are excited to recruit a confident and reliable Cover Supervisor for schools across the S5 and S9 areas of Sheffield.
As a Cover Supervisor (CS), you will deliver pre-set lesson plans, manage classroom behaviour, and ensure pupils remain focused and engaged throughout the school day.
Prime Responsibilities:
- Supervise classes during teacher absence using prepared materials.
- Maintain effective behaviour management in line with school policies.
- Provide clear instructions and support to pupils where needed.
- Report back to teaching staff on pupil progress and behaviour.
- Uphold safeguarding and school procedures at all times.
Requirements of Cover Supervisor:
- Previous experience working with young people in an educational setting.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- Confident, adaptable, and organised approach.
- Commitment to safeguarding and pupil welfare.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply.
