Job Title: Physical Intervention Trained Teaching Assistant
Location: Dinnington (S25)
Payrate: £105+ per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract: Day-to-day / Long-term | Part-time / Full-time
Provide consistent, structured support to students who require additional behavioural guidance in a safe and supportive setting!
GSL Education are looking for a confident and experienced Physical Intervention Trained TA to work in schools in Dinnington, covering the S25 area.
This role Physical Intervention Trained Teaching Assistant (TA) involves supporting students with behavioural or SEMH needs and using accredited physical intervention techniques appropriately and safely when required.
Main Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 and small group support for students with additional behavioural needs.
- Use approved physical intervention strategies in line with school policy.
- Support de-escalation and promote positive behaviour management techniques.
- Work closely with teaching and pastoral staff to implement behaviour plans.
- Maintain accurate records and follow safeguarding procedures at all times.
Requirements of Physical Intervention Trained TA:
- Valid and up-to-date physical intervention training (e.g. Team Teach or similar).
- Experience working with children or young people with SEMH or behavioural needs.
- Calm, resilient, and professional approach under pressure.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
