About the Role:
As a Geography Teacher, you will plan and deliver stimulating lessons, promote student engagement, and help learners develop key skills in geography and related disciplines. You will maintain a structured classroom environment that supports both behaviour and learning, and provide meaningful feedback to aid student progress.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver Geography lessons that engage students of varying abilities.
- Support students’ learning and progression through differentiated teaching strategies.
- Manage classroom behaviour to create a positive and productive learning environment.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practice, resources, and teaching strategies.
- Maintain accurate records of lessons, attendance, and student outcomes.
Qualifications:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching experience.
- Experience teaching Geography at Key Stage 3/4 is preferred.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
- Ability to motivate and inspire students to achieve their best.
- Creative, adaptable, and capable of delivering engaging and inclusive lessons.
