Job Title: SEMH Teacher
Location: Dinnington (S25)
Pay rate: Up to £220 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract type: Day-to-day/ Long-term, Full-time/ Part-time 

Are you a passionate and resilient educator with a commitment to supporting students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs?

GSL Education are pleased to recruit a resilient SEMH Teacher for a school based in the S25 area of Dinnington. As a Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) Teacher, you will plan and deliver tailored lessons while using positive behaviour strategies to create a calm and supportive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities of SEMH Teacher:

  • Deliver personalised lessons suited to pupils with SEMH needs.
  • Apply effective behaviour management and emotional support techniques.
  • Maintain a safe, inclusive, and well-managed classroom.
  • Monitor pupil progress and adapt teaching approaches accordingly.
  • Work closely with pastoral teams, staff, and external agencies.

Requirements for SEMH Teacher:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a recognised teaching qualification.
  • Experience working as a SEMH Teacher in a specialist or mainstream setting.
  • Strong behaviour management and communication skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing.
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
