About the Role:
As a SEMH Teacher, you will plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to the needs of students with SEMH requirements. You will create a positive and structured learning environment, supporting both academic progress and emotional development. Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver lessons that meet the individual needs of students with SEMH.
- Implement strategies to support emotional, social, and behavioural development.
- Maintain a safe, structured, and positive classroom environment.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback.
- Collaborate with colleagues and support staff to develop tailored interventions.
- Maintain accurate records of student performance, behaviour, and activities.
- Promote independence, engagement, and motivation in all students.
Qualifications:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching experience.
- Experience teaching or supporting students with SEMH needs is preferred.
- Excellent classroom management and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to differentiate lessons and adapt teaching strategies to individual needs.
- A compassionate, patient, and motivating approach to student support.
