Job Title: SEMH Teacher
Location: Sheffield (S2, S3)
Pay rate: Upto £220 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

GSL Education are seeking a dedicated SEMH Teacher to work within a supportive setting in Sheffield (S2, S3). This role offers the opportunity to help learners overcome barriers, build confidence, and achieve both academically and personally.

In this position, the Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) Teacher will deliver tailored lessons that meet individual needs, promote emotional regulation, and encourage positive engagement with learning. You will play a key role in creating a calm, consistent, and supportive atmosphere.

Responsibilities of SEMH Teacher:

  • Planning and delivering differentiated lessons suited to individual needs
  • Supporting learners with emotional regulation and behaviour strategies
  • Building positive, trusting relationships with pupils
  • Monitoring progress and adapting approaches where necessary
  • Working closely with colleagues and external professionals to provide holistic support

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Experience working with learners with SEMH needs
  • Strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills
  • Patience, resilience, and a compassionate approach
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
