Inspire Through Sport – Sports Coaches Needed in Wakefield (WF4)!
Location: Wakefield – WF4
Salary: £460 – £600 per week (Depending on Experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long-term | Full-time / Part-time

Do you have a passion for motivating young people through sport and physical activity?

GSL Education are seeking enthusiastic, energetic, and dedicated Sports Coaches to join schools in the Wakefield (WF4) area. This is an exciting opportunity to support students’ development, encourage healthy habits, and inspire positive behaviour through sport.

Your Role as a Sports Coach:

  • Deliver engaging sports sessions to individuals and groups of students.
  • Use physical activity to promote confidence, teamwork, and positive conduct.
  • Support teachers in PE lessons and throughout the school day.
  • Help create a safe, structured, and encouraging environment for all pupils.
  • Always follow school behaviour policies and safeguarding procedures.

What You’ll Need:

  • Experience coaching young people in sports or physical activity (school or community setting).
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to motivate and inspire.
  • A calm, patient, and enthusiastic manner.
  • A proactive approach and genuine passion for supporting student wellbeing.
  • Relevant coaching qualifications (desirable but not essential).
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
