Job Title: PE Teacher
Location: Barnsley (S70, S71)
Pay rate: Upto £220 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

GSL Education are searching for a PE Teacher to support schools in the Barnsley (S70, S71) area, delivering engaging lessons that promote fitness, skill development, and a love of sport.

In this role, the Physical Education (PE) Teacher will plan and deliver practical and theory-based lessons, encouraging pupils to participate fully, develop physical skills, and embrace a healthy lifestyle.

Key Duties:

  • Plan and deliver structured PE lessons in line with the curriculum.
  • Encourage teamwork, resilience, and fair play as PE Teacher.
  • Maintain a safe, inclusive, and motivating learning environment.
  • Assess pupil progress and provide constructive feedback.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to support wider school sports programmes.

Essential Requirements:

  • Possession of Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
  • Experience teaching PE in a secondary school setting.
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing.
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
