Job Title: History Teacher
Location: Barnsley (S70, S71)
Pay rate: Upto £220 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

GSL Education are welcoming applications for a passionate History Teacher to join schools in Barnsley, covering the S70 and S71 areas. In this role, the History Teacher will deliver lessons that encourage critical thinking, source analysis, and a deep understanding of historical events.
Main Responsibilities:
- Deliver well-planned history lessons in line with the curriculum.
- Foster analytical and independent thinking through discussion and research.
- Maintain high standards of behaviour and a positive classroom environment.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to support school-wide goals.
Requirements:
The successful History Teacher will have:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised qualification.
- Previous experience teaching history in a school setting.
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
- Commitment to safeguarding and inclusive education.
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
