Job Title: RE Teacher
Location: Sheffield (S2, S3)
Pay rate: Upto £220 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

GSL Education are looking for an RE Teacher to support schools in the Sheffield (S2, S3) area, delivering engaging lessons that develop pupils’ knowledge of religion, ethics, and moral reasoning.

In this role, the Religious Education (RE) Teacher will plan and deliver lessons that inspire discussion, critical thinking, and respect for diverse perspectives, while maintaining a positive and inclusive classroom environment.

Key Duties of RE Teacher:

  • Plan and deliver structured RE lessons in line with the curriculum.
  • Encourage pupils to explore ethical, moral, and cultural topics thoughtfully.
  • Maintain positive behaviour and a focused learning atmosphere.
  • Assess pupil progress and provide clear, constructive feedback.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to support whole-school objectives.

Essential Requirements:

  • Possession of Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
  • Experience teaching RE in a secondary school setting.
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and supporting learners of all abilities.
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
