Job Title: Cover Supervisor
Location: Sheffield (S5, S9)
Pay rate: £460 -£650 per week (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time
Support continuity of learning by managing classrooms during teacher absences.
GSL Education are pleased to recruit a reliable Cover Supervisor for schools across the S5 and S9 areas of Sheffield.
As a Cover Supervisor (CS), you will supervise lessons, ensure pupils remain on task, and maintain a positive learning environment.
Main Responsibilities:
- Supervise classes following pre-prepared lesson plans.
- Maintain behaviour and engagement in line with school policies.
- Support pupils with their work and respond to queries where appropriate.
- Report any concerns to teaching staff or senior leaders.
- Contribute to the smooth running of lessons and school routines.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working as a Cover Supervisor or in a similar role.
- Strong classroom presence and behaviour management skills.
- Good communication and organisational abilities.
- Commitment to safeguarding and school procedures.
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
