Maths Teacher (QTS) – Specialist SEN School

Location: Tameside
Start Date: After February Half Term
Hours: Full-Time (Monday to Friday)
Contract: Temp to Permanent
Salary: MPS/UPS (dependent on experience)

GSL Education Manchester is working in partnership with a specialist SEN secondary school in Tameside, supporting pupils with a range of additional needs including SEMH, Autism, ADHD, and learning difficulties. This school provides a calm, well-structured environment with small class sizes, high levels of support, and a strong emphasis on consistency and routine.

This permanent role offers the opportunity to teach Maths in a setting where you can genuinely make a difference to pupils who benefit from a personalised approach to learning.

About the Role:

  • Teach Maths across KS3 and KS4 within a specialist SEN setting

  • Adapt the curriculum to meet individual learning and behavioural needs

  • Work closely with Teaching Assistants and pastoral staff

  • Build confidence, engagement, and numeracy skills in pupils

  • Contribute positively to the wider school ethos and values

What We’re Looking For:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

  • Experience teaching Maths at secondary level

  • A patient, adaptable, and reflective teaching approach

  • A genuine interest in SEN and inclusive education
