Job Title: Cover Supervisor
Location: Rotherham (S65, S66)
Pay rate: £460 -£650 per week (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time
Support continuity of learning by confidently managing classrooms during teacher absences.
GSL Education are delighted to hire a reliable Cover Supervisor to support schools in the S65 and S66 areas of Rotherham. This role offers the chance to use strong classroom management skills, inspire pupils, and gain valuable experience across diverse school settings.
As a Cover Supervisor (CS), you will oversee pre-set lessons, maintain classroom discipline, and ensure pupils remain engaged throughout the school day.
Key Duties:
- Supervise classes using prepared lesson plans.
- Maintain a calm, focused, and positive learning environment.
- Manage behaviour in line with school policies.
- Support pupils with their work and respond to basic queries.
- Report any issues or concerns to senior staff.
Essential Requirements:
- Previous experience working as a Cover Supervisor or in a similar school-based role.
- Strong classroom presence and behaviour management skills.
- Good communication and organisational abilities.
- A professional approach to safeguarding and school procedures.
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
