Job Title: Sports Coach
Location: Barnsley (S70, S71)
Pay rate: £460 -£600 per week (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract type -Day-to-day/ Long-term, Full-time/ Part-time

GSL Education are looking to appoint an inspiring Sports Coach to work with schools in the Barnsley (S70, S71) area, helping students develop physical skills, teamwork, and a love of sport.
In this role, the Sports Coach will deliver engaging coaching sessions across a range of sports, encouraging participation, skill development, and positive attitudes towards health and fitness.
Core Role Expectations:
- Plan and deliver structured coaching sessions tailored to pupils’ abilities as a Sports Coach.
- Promote teamwork, fair play, and personal development through sport.
- Maintain a safe and inclusive environment for all participants.
- Assess progress and provide feedback to pupils and teaching staff.
- Collaborate with teachers and school staff to support wider physical education objectives.
What We’re Looking For:
- Relevant coaching qualifications in sport or physical education.
- Experience delivering sports coaching, ideally in a school or youth setting.
- Strong communication, motivational, and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing.
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
