Job Title: English Teacher
Location: Sheffield (S5, S9)
Pay rate: Upto £220 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time
Are you passionate about language and literature, and eager to inspire pupils to develop strong reading and writing skills?
GSL Education are hiring, in partnership with schools across Sheffield serving the S5 and S9 communities, to appoint an experienced English Teacher who can deliver engaging and inclusive lessons.
In this role, the English Teacher will plan and teach lessons that promote literacy, creativity, and critical thinking within a structured learning environment.
Prime Responsibilities:
- Deliver well-planned English lessons aligned with the curriculum.
- Encourage pupils to develop confidence in reading, writing, and discussion.
- Maintain a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom.
- Assess pupil progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to support wider learning goals.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a recognised teaching qualification.
- Experience working as an English Teacher in a school setting.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- Commitment to safeguarding and supporting learners of all abilities.
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
