Intervention Tutor
Location: Newcastle
Salary: £95 – £130 per day
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Full-Time / Part-Time
GSL Education are currently recruiting an enthusiastic and adaptable Intervention Tutor to support pupils in schools across Newcastle. This Intervention Tutor role is ideal for someone passionate about raising attainment through targeted academic support and small-group interventions.
As an Intervention Tutor, you will work closely with teaching staff to deliver focused intervention sessions designed to close learning gaps and boost pupil confidence. Schools are keen to appoint an Intervention Tutor who can engage learners and adapt support to meet individual needs.
The Role of the Intervention Tutor Will Include:

Delivering targeted intervention sessions to individuals or small groups.

Supporting pupils to improve attainment and confidence in key subjects.

Working closely with teachers to implement intervention strategies.

Monitoring progress and adapting sessions to maximise impact as an Intervention Tutor.

Encouraging positive engagement, independence, and resilience.

Providing a high standard of safeguarding and pastoral care as an Intervention Tutor.
The Ideal Intervention Tutor Will:

Have experience working with children or young people in an educational setting.

Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – preferable but not required.

Have a Maths specialism – preferable but not required.

Be patient, proactive, and adaptable.

Have strong communication and organisational skills.

Hold an enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to apply).

Have a fully checkable work history.
