Role: Sports Coaches

Location: Wakefield (WF4)

Salary: £460 – £600 per week (Depending on experience)

Start Date: Immediate

Contract Type: Day-to-Day / Long-Term, Part-Time / Full-Time

GSL Education are seeking enthusiastic Sports Coaches to work in a welcoming school settings across Wakefield WF4.

As Sports Coaches, you will play a key role in promoting physical activity, teamwork, and healthy lifestyles while supporting pupils of all abilities. This opportunity is ideal for individuals with experience in sports coaching, PE support, youth work, or physical activity who are keen to make a positive impact in education.

Key Responsibilities of the Sports Coaches:

  • Deliver and support engaging sports and physical activity sessions.
  • Assist PE teachers with lesson delivery and classroom behaviour management.
  • Encourage participation, confidence, and teamwork among pupils.
  • Support pupils individually and in small groups during PE lessons.
  • Help organise equipment, fixtures, and school sporting events.
  • Promote positive behaviour, inclusion, and sportsmanship.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Experience working as a Sports Coach or in a similar role.
  • A positive, energetic, and proactive attitude.
  • Strong communication and motivational skills.
  • Confidence working with children and young people.
  • A passion for sport, fitness, and wellbeing.
  • An Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
