About the Role:
As an SEMH Teacher, you will plan and deliver lessons tailored to students’ individual needs, support emotional development, and contribute to creating a positive and structured learning environment. You will work closely with colleagues to ensure all students receive the guidance and support necessary to thrive.
Responsibilities:
• Plan and deliver engaging lessons that support academic and emotional development.
• Implement personalised strategies to support students with SEMH needs.
• Maintain a positive and structured classroom environment.
• Monitor and track student progress, providing feedback to support ongoing development.
• Collaborate with teaching staff, support staff, and external agencies where required.
• Promote student engagement, confidence, and self-esteem.
• Contribute to school initiatives and enrichment activities as appropriate.
Qualifications:
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching experience.
• Experience supporting students with SEMH needs is highly desirable.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
• Ability to adapt lessons and approaches to meet diverse needs.
• Compassionate, patient, and committed to fostering positive relationships.
