About the Role:
As a Geography Teacher, you will plan and deliver lessons that engage students in understanding the physical and human aspects of the world. You will create a positive and structured learning environment, encourage inquiry, and help students develop essential skills such as map reading, research, and analytical thinking.
Responsibilities:
• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Geography lessons across relevant key stages.
• Support students’ learning, progress, and confidence in understanding geographical concepts.
• Monitor and assess student performance, providing constructive feedback.
• Adapt lessons and resources to meet individual student needs.
• Encourage participation, curiosity, and critical thinking in all students.
• Collaborate with colleagues to share best practice and develop resources.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress, attendance, and behaviour.
Qualifications:
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching experience.
• Experience teaching Geography across KS3/4 preferred.
• Strong communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to motivate and engage students of varying abilities.
• Creative and adaptable approach to lesson planning and delivery.
