Behaviour Teaching Assistant

Location: Selby
Salary: £88 – £110 per day
Start Date: February 2026
Contract: Full-Time

GSL Education are looking for a proactive Behaviour Teaching Assistant to support behaviour management in a secondary school in Selby.

The school has clear expectations, structured routines, and a supportive behaviour policy. Behaviour support staff play a key role in maintaining a positive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support pupils with behavioural needs

  • Implement behaviour strategies and interventions

  • Work closely with teaching and pastoral teams

  • Supervise pupils during lessons and transitions

Requirements

  • Experience in a secondary school or similar setting

  • Strong behaviour management skills

  • Confident and professional manner

  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply
