Teaching Assistant

Location: Tower Hamlets, E1 1NT
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Long Term, Full Time
Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm
Pay: £90–£105 per day (depending on experience)

About the Role:

As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with class teachers and the SEN team to deliver targeted 1:1 SEN support and help pupils access the curriculum confidently. You will contribute to a nurturing learning environment where every child is encouraged to reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities of Teaching Assistant:

  • Provide 1:1 SEN support for KS2 pupils
  • Support pupils with learning, engagement, and emotional regulation
  • Assist with classroom activities and tailored interventions
  • Follow school policies and behaviour procedures consistently
  • Work effectively as part of a collaborative staff team
  • Encourage positive behaviour and inclusion within the classroom

Requirements for Teaching Assistant:

  • KS2 experience and strong curriculum knowledge
  • Recent school-based experience within a UK setting
  • Ability to deliver 1:1 SEN support confidently
  • Able to follow school policies and work well as part of a team
  • Good level of spoken and written English
