Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Newham
Pay Rate: £90 – £105 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Long-term, Full-time
Working Hours: 8:30 AM – 4:15 PM

GSL Education are delighted to offer an exciting opportunity for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a modern and welcoming school in Newham. This full-time, long-term role provides the chance to make a meaningful difference in pupils’ lives, with strong potential to secure a permanent contract.
About the Role:
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with class teachers and the SEN team to provide 1:1 support and tailored interventions, helping students overcome barriers to learning and reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities of the SEN TA:
- Provide effective 1:1 SEN support to pupils with additional needs.
- Assist with the delivery of personalised learning and intervention plans.
- Support pupils’ academic, social, and emotional development.
- Work collaboratively with teachers and support staff.
- Follow school policies and contribute to a positive, inclusive learning environment.
Requirements for SEN Teaching Assistant:
- Proven SEN experience and knowledge.
- Recent school-based experience.
- Ability to deliver 1:1 SEN support confidently and effectively.
- Ability to follow school policies and work well as part of a team.
- Good level of spoken and written English.
