Salary: £460 – £600 per week

About the Role:
As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will support students with additional needs in their learning, providing guidance, encouragement, and practical assistance. You will work closely with teachers and support staff to help create a positive and inclusive learning environment that meets the individual needs of students.
Responsibilities:
- Implement personalised support plans to meet individual student needs and foster independence.
- Assist students in accessing lessons and learning resources effectively.
- Create a supportive and inclusive environment that promotes trust and engagement.
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to provide consistent support and track progress.
- Maintain accurate records of student activities, achievements, and development.
- Support students with personal care, where appropriate, ensuring dignity and respect.
- Encourage participation in classroom and extracurricular activities using effective communication strategies.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a SEN Teaching Assistant, Support Worker, or similar role is preferred.
- Understanding of SEN conditions and evidence-based support strategies.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to adapt to the varying needs of students.
- Compassionate, patient, and committed to supporting students’ growth and well-being.
