1:1 Teaching Assistant
Location: Sheffield (S2, S3)
Pay: £460 – £600 per week (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract: Day-to-Day / Long-Term, Part-Time / Full-Time

GSL Education and schools across Sheffield (S2 and S3) are seeking committed 1:1 Teaching Assistants to provide tailored support to pupils who benefit from individual guidance throughout the school day.


About the Role

Working closely with a named pupil, you’ll help remove barriers to learning by offering consistent academic, emotional, and behavioural support in and out of the classroom.


Your Key Duties as a 1:1 TA

  • Deliver focused 1:1 support aligned with individual learning plans
  • Assist pupils with classroom tasks, routines, and engagement
  • Encourage confidence, independence, and positive behaviour
  • Support social and emotional development
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and SEN teams

What We’re Hoping to Find in 1:1 TA

  • Experience supporting children on a 1:1 basis (preferred)
  • A patient, nurturing, and reliable approach
  • Strong communication and observation skills
  • Ability to adapt support to meet individual needs
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
