About the Role:
As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting students’ learning and personal development. You will assist with classroom activities, implement individualised strategies, and help ensure that all students can engage fully with their education.
Responsibilities:
- Support students with Special Educational Needs to access the curriculum effectively.
- Implement personalised learning plans and interventions to meet individual needs.
- Assist with classroom management and encourage positive behaviour.
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and external professionals to provide holistic support.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and activities.
- Support students with personal care, where required, ensuring dignity and respect.
- Encourage engagement in lessons and extracurricular activities using effective communication strategies.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a SEN Teaching Assistant or similar role is preferred.
- Understanding of SEN conditions and evidence-based support strategies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to adapt to the diverse needs of students.
- Compassionate, patient, and committed to student development.
