Job Title: Religious Education (RE) Teacher
Location: Sheffield (S35)
Pay rate: Upto £220 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time
Are you passionate about religious education and keen to support students in exploring beliefs, values, and ethics?
GSL Education are looking for a dedicated RE Teacher who can encourage thoughtful discussion and mutual respect, with opportunities available across Sheffield schools based in the S35 area.
As a Religious Education (RE) Teacher, you will deliver lessons that explore diverse religious traditions and moral perspectives, fostering a safe, inclusive classroom where learners confidently ask questions and share ideas.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver well-structured RE lessons in line with the curriculum.
- Encourage discussion, reflection, and critical thinking.
- Promote respect for diversity and different viewpoints.
- Maintain a positive and focused classroom environment.
- Assess student progress and provide clear, constructive feedback.
Requirements:
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
- Experience working as an RE Teacher in a school setting.
- Strong communication and classroom management skills.
- A professional approach to safeguarding and inclusive practice.
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
