GSL Education are currently recruiting a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to work within a specialist SEND college in the Grimsby area, supporting students aged 16–25 years with Autism.
This is a rewarding opportunity for individuals who are passionate about supporting young people as they develop independence, life skills and confidence in preparation for adulthood.
The Role:

Providing 1:1 and small group support to students with Autism

Supporting learning, communication and social development
-
Assisting students with daily routines, transitions and engagement in lessons

Working closely with tutors and support staff to follow individual learning plans

Helping to create a safe, inclusive and structured learning environment
Requirements:
-
Previous experience working with SEND, particularly Autism, in education or care settings
-
A patient, understanding and consistent approach
-
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
-
Ability to support both academic and life-skills-based learning
-
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
