Health & Social Care Teacher
Alternative Provision School | Tower Hamlets (E1)

We are working in partnership with an Alternative Provision school based in Tower Hamlets (E1) who are seeking a dedicated Health & Social Care Teacher to join their team as soon as possible.
⚠️ This is not a mainstream secondary school.
The successful candidate will be working with students who require additional support due to behavioural, social, or emotional needs. The school provides a nurturing, structured environment with a strong focus on re‑engagement, personal development, and positive outcomes.
The Role
- Deliver Health & Social Care to small class groups
- Plan and adapt lessons to meet a wide range of learning needs
- Support pupils with SEMH and complex needs
- Build positive relationships and act as a consistent role model
- Work closely with support staff, pastoral teams, and senior leaders
The Ideal Candidate
- Experience teaching Health & Social Care (KS4/KS5 desirable)
- Experience in Alternative Provision, PRU, SEN, or similar settings is highly desirable
- Strong behaviour management and de‑escalation skills
- A calm, patient, and resilient approach
- QTS preferred, but unqualified teachers with strong AP experience will be considered

- £200 -£250 per day
