Hours: 08.00am-16.00pm
Rate of Pay: £90-£120 dependant on experience

GSL Education is a specialist education recruitment agency, working closely with schools to provide high-quality temporary and long-term staff. We are currently seeking an organised and professional Temporary School Administrator to support one of our partner schools.

The Role
As a Temporary School Administrator, you will provide essential administrative support to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the school office. You will act as a key point of contact for staff, pupils, parents, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Providing front-office and reception support
  • Handling telephone calls, emails, and general enquiries
  • Maintaining accurate pupil records and administrative systems
  • Supporting attendance, admissions, and school correspondence
  • Assisting with finance, orders, and general office tasks
  • Supporting senior leaders and teaching staff with administration
  • Using CPOMS to record and manage safeguarding and wellbeing concerns
  • Ensuring confidentiality and safeguarding procedures are followed at all times

Candidate Requirements

  • Strong organisational and time-management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Confident IT skills (Microsoft Office and school systems)
  • Professional, friendly, and adaptable approach
  • Ability to work independently and quickly integrate into a school environment

Desirable Experience

  • Previous experience in a school or education setting
  • Experience using school management systems (e.g. SIMS, Arbor, Bromcom)
  • Experience using CPOMS or similar safeguarding systems
