About the Role:
As a SEMH Teacher, you will deliver engaging lessons, implement personalised strategies, and support students’ holistic development. You will play a vital role in managing behaviour, promoting emotional regulation, and encouraging a positive attitude towards learning. Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver lessons tailored to students with SEMH needs.
  • Support students’ emotional, social, and behavioural development alongside academic learning.
  • Maintain a safe and structured classroom environment that encourages positive behaviour.
  • Monitor, assess, and track student progress, providing constructive feedback.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and support staff to implement individual strategies.
  • Maintain accurate records of lessons, interventions, and student outcomes.
  • Promote confidence, independence, and resilience among students.

Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching experience.
  • Experience teaching or supporting students with SEMH needs is preferred.
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills.
  • Ability to plan differentiated lessons and adapt teaching to individual needs.
  • Compassionate, patient, and committed to student well-being and development.
