About the Role:
As a Cover Supervisor, you will oversee classes during teacher absences, delivering pre-set work and ensuring students remain focused and engaged. This role is ideal for individuals considering a career in education or those with experience working with young people in a school or similar setting.
Responsibilities:
• Supervise whole classes during short-term teacher absences.
• Deliver pre-prepared lesson materials and instructions set by teaching staff.
• Maintain classroom discipline and promote positive behaviour.
• Support students to remain on task and complete assigned work.
• Follow school policies and procedures at all times.
• Provide feedback to teaching staff regarding student behaviour and progress.
Qualifications:
• Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable.
• Strong classroom presence and behaviour management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to adapt quickly to different subjects and classroom settings.
• Reliable, professional, and confident in managing groups of students.
