Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Rotherham (S25)
Salary: £460 – £600 per week
Contract Type: Full time, long-term / Day-to-day

About the Role:
As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and support staff to provide tailored support to students with additional needs. You will play a key role in helping pupils access the curriculum, develop social skills, and achieve both academic and personal milestones.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one and small group support to students with SEN.
  • Assist teachers in delivering engaging and accessible lessons.
  • Support students with emotional, social, and behavioural needs.
  • Help create a positive, inclusive, and structured learning environment.
  • Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback where required.
  • Support personal care needs where necessary, maintaining dignity and respect.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience working with children with SEN is desirable.
  • Understanding of different special educational needs and support strategies.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A patient, caring, and proactive approach to supporting learners.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
