Salary: Up to £220 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-Day / Long-Term, Part-Time / Full-Time

GSL Education are looking for a passionate History Teacher who can inspire curiosity, debate, and critical thinking through engaging lessons for schools in Barnsley (S70, S71). This History Teacher role is ideal for someone who enjoys storytelling, discussion, and helping students connect historical events to modern life.
Your Role in the Classroom:
- Deliver engaging History lessons across key stages
- Encourage analysis, debate, and independent thinking
- Bring historical events to life through creative teaching strategies
- Adapt lessons to suit a range of abilities and learning needs
- Maintain a positive and focused learning environment
- Support assessment and track student progress
What kind of History Teacher We’re Looking For:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Experience teaching History (preferred)
- Strong subject knowledge and classroom management
- Enthusiastic, organised, and student-centred approach
- Commitment to safeguarding and student wellbeing
- An enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one through GSL Education
