Location: Barnsley (S70, S71)
Salary: Up to £220 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-Day / Long-Term, Part-Time / Full-Time

GSL Education are seeking a passionate Geography Teacher who can spark curiosity about places, people, and the planet for schools in Barnsley (S70, S71). This role is ideal for someone who enjoys bringing real-world issues into the classroom and helping students see how geography shapes everyday life.
Your Role in the Classroom as a Geography Teacher:
- Deliver engaging Geography lessons across key stages
- Explore physical, human, and environmental geography
- Encourage critical thinking around global and local issues
- Use maps, data, and case studies to bring learning to life
- Adapt lessons to meet a range of abilities
- Maintain a positive, well-managed learning environment
Requirements for a Geography Teacher:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Experience teaching Geography (preferred)
- Strong subject knowledge and confident classroom management
- Enthusiastic, organised, and student-focused approach
- Commitment to safeguarding and student wellbeing
- An enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one through GSL Education
