Location: Barnsley (S70, S71)
Salary: Up to £220 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-Day / Long-Term, Part-Time / Full-Time

GSL Education are seeking a passionate Geography Teacher who can spark curiosity about places, people, and the planet for schools in Barnsley (S70, S71). This role is ideal for someone who enjoys bringing real-world issues into the classroom and helping students see how geography shapes everyday life.

Your Role in the Classroom as a Geography Teacher:

  • Deliver engaging Geography lessons across key stages
  • Explore physical, human, and environmental geography
  • Encourage critical thinking around global and local issues
  • Use maps, data, and case studies to bring learning to life
  • Adapt lessons to meet a range of abilities
  • Maintain a positive, well-managed learning environment

Requirements for a Geography Teacher:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Experience teaching Geography (preferred)
  • Strong subject knowledge and confident classroom management
  • Enthusiastic, organised, and student-focused approach
  • Commitment to safeguarding and student wellbeing
  • An enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one through GSL Education
