Job Title: Teacher of Engineering (Design & Technology)

GSL Education is seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Teacher of Engineering (Design & Technology) to join a secondary school in Lincoln. This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate educator who can deliver engaging Engineering and D&T lessons and inspire students to develop practical, technical, and problem-solving skills.
The role will involve teaching Engineering / Design & Technology across KS3 and KS4, with opportunities to teach KS5 depending on experience and specialism.
Role Responsibilities:
- Teach Engineering and Design & Technology lessons aligned with the national curriculum
- Plan and deliver engaging practical and theory-based lessons
- Support students in developing technical, creative, and analytical skills
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback
- Ensure safe working practices in workshops and practical environments
- Maintain positive classroom behaviour and high expectations
- Work collaboratively with the D&T department and wider school staff
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Specialism or strong experience in Engineering and/or Design & Technology
- Experience teaching at secondary level (KS3 & KS4; KS5 desirable)
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
- Confident in using workshop equipment and promoting health & safety
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply
