Salary: Up to £220 per day

About the Role:
As an SEMH Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and differentiated lessons while supporting students who require additional emotional and behavioural support. You will play a key role in helping students re-engage with learning and develop positive coping strategies.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver tailored lessons that meet the individual needs of students with SEMH.
  • Create a positive and structured classroom environment that supports emotional regulation.
  • Implement behaviour management strategies consistently and effectively.
  • Support students’ academic progress, social skills, and emotional development.
  • Work collaboratively with support staff, SEN teams, and external professionals.
  • Monitor progress and maintain accurate records in line with school procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching experience.
  • Experience working with students with SEMH or challenging behaviour is desirable.
  • Strong classroom management and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to remain calm, patient, and adaptable in challenging situations.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
