Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Dinnington (S25)
Salary: £460 – £600 per week (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long Term | Full-time / Part-time
Are you a compassionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant looking to support children with special educational needs?
GSL Education are currently seeking SEN Teaching Assistants to work in welcoming and supportive schools in Dinnington (S25), with immediate opportunities available on a flexible basis.
As an SEN Teaching Assistant (SEN TA), you will work closely with teachers and support staff to provide tailored support to pupils with a range of additional needs. You will play a vital role in creating a positive, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment.
Responsibilities:
• Provide one-to-one and small group support to students with SEN needs.
• Assist the class teacher in delivering lessons in line with the curriculum.
• Support pupils with emotional regulation, communication, and engagement.
• Implement behaviour support strategies as guided by the school.
• Monitor student progress and report feedback to teaching staff.
• Ensure safeguarding and child protection policies are followed at all times.
Requirements:
• Previous experience working as an SEN Teaching Assistant or supporting children with SEN.
• CACHE Level 2 or 3, NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Childcare or Teaching Assistance (desirable but not essential).
• A caring, patient, and adaptable approach to supporting learners.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
• Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service or willingness to apply through GSL Education.
